Scenic Introduction:

Huangchao Mountain is situated in the southwestern part of Dongtian Town, Nan'an City, at an altitude of 1,095 meters. It was named after Huang Chao, the leader of the peasant uprising army in the late Tang Dynasty, who set up camp here. It is now a well-known natural scenic area. The area features perilous terrain, rugged peaks, and striking rock formations, with overlapping mountain ranges and picturesque scenery.

The scenic area mainly consists of a long, narrow, steep, and rugged canyon suitable for exploration, stretching about 3 kilometers. Along the way, there are various amazing and peculiar rocks. In the middle, there are several green pools of varying sizes that can be crossed by boat, which are essential spots for tourism and adventure. The canyon is adorned with cascading springs like silk ribbons and clear murmuring streams like songs. The area also preserves over 10 cultural and historical sites related to Buddhism, Taoism, and military history from different dynasties, boasting a long history and leaving behind many beautiful legends and touching folk tales.

Deep within the canyon lies a magnificent and spectacular waterfall cluster. The source of the waterfalls is at an altitude of over 480 meters, with a width of more than 30 meters. It is divided into three tiers of waterfalls, each with a green pool of over 100 square meters beneath it. Visitors can venture to the second waterfall and even dive into the pool to enjoy the fun in the water. The entire waterfall cluster includes one waterfall over 100 meters high, another over 80 meters, and the third over 60 meters. When the water flow is strong, the sound is thunderous and can be heard up to ten miles away. The waterfall area is often shrouded in mist and clouds year-round, with dazzling rainbows soaring across the sky, creating a truly magnificent sight.

The Huangchao Mountain Natural Scenic Area is filled with lush greenery, blooming flowers, and is a paradise for various rare animals and plants. It serves as an ideal destination for travel enthusiasts to relax during holidays, escape the heat, explore nature, and admire the waterfalls.

Shanxi Village: Shanxi Village is located 3.5 kilometers southwest of the Dongtian Town government seat, with its village committee stationed at Pubian. The settlement lies at the southeastern foot of Wantianzhai, on both sides of the Dongtian Stream, comprising 10 natural villages: Pubian, Taiping, Changbeige, Yangtou, Tianyang, Zucuo, Neishu, Wucuo Cheng, Xincuo, and Dun tou, and 13 villager groups, with 829 households and a population of 2,949.
