Description: Originally built in the fourth year of the Yongxi era (987) during the Northern Song Dynasty by Ye Xun, the founding ancestor of the Lingyun Ye Clan, the hall has undergone renovations over the dynasties and now retains its mid-Qing architectural style. It faces south and covers an area of 1,880 square meters. The structure features a two-courtyard design with suspended gable roofs and swallowtail ridges. The main hall is five bays wide, eight bays deep, with 15 purlins and a front porch, and is supported by a post-and-lintel wooden frame.

Protected area: East to the ditch of Xiaozihui Lane, west to the roadside retaining wall, north to the retaining wall at the foot of Woniu Mountain, south to the village road in front of the courtyard.

In 2009, the Lingyun Ye Clan Ancestral Hall was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Gaotian Village: Located in Meishan Township, Nan’an City, Gaotian Village was formerly known as Kuichuan Township, the 13th District of Quanzhou Prefecture. During the Republican era, it was called Gaotian Bao, and after the liberation, it was named Gaotian Village. In 1958, during the commune period, it became Gaotian Brigade, and in 1984, it was renamed Gaotian Village Committee. Situated in the northwest of Nan’an City, the village gets its name from the vast fields (田, tian) cultivated among the steep ridges of Lingyun Mountain (凌云山), which rises majestically as if piercing the clouds, also known as Chaotianmen (朝天门).
