Jintao Academy

Jintao Academy is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Jintao Academy is located in Jintao Village, Jintao Town, Nan'an City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty and the Republican era.

Description: Comprising Jintao Academy and Qiaoguang School, it covers a total area of 4,200 square meters with a built-up area of 2,602 square meters. Jintao Academy was first built during the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1875–1908), facing south and featuring a traditional Southern Fujian three-courtyard layout with side wings, using a mixed post-and-lintel and through-tenon wooden frame structure, with a flush gable roof and swallowtail ridges. Its built-up area is 1,180 square meters. Qiaoguang School was built in 1948 as a two-courtyard building with side wings, constructed with a composite structure of concrete, brick, and wood, and has a built-up area of 1,422 square meters.

Protected area: An additional 20 meters outward from all sides of the buildings.

In 2018, Jintao Academy was designated as part of the ninth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
