The Ancestral Temple of the Yan Mountain Huang Clan

The Ancestral Temple of the Yan Mountain Huang Clan is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

The Ancestral Temple of the Yan Mountain Huang Clan is located in Yanshan Village, Fengzhou Town, Nan'an City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Introduction: Originally built in the second year of the Zhengtong era of the Ming Dynasty (1437), the existing structure is from the Qing Dynasty. It enshrines the founding ancestor of the Yan Mountain branch of the Huang Clan, Yuan Daluhuachi Dala Zhen. The temple faces east and is backed by the west, consisting of a front hall, middle hall, main hall, and other sections, covering a construction area of 710 square meters. The front hall is five bays wide and three pillars deep, with a post-and-lintel beam frame; the middle hall is five bays wide and five pillars deep, with a through-tenon beam frame; the main hall is five bays wide and seven pillars deep, also with a through-tenon beam frame, all topped with flush gable roofs.

In 2013, the Ancestral Temple of the Yan Mountain Huang Clan was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
