The Banpu Ancient Houses are a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Banpu Ancient Houses are located in Liangshan Village, Yingdu Town, Nan'an. Thirteen red-brick ancient mansions from the mid-Qing Dynasty stand quietly in the mountains, silently showcasing the most traditional rural appearance of several hundred years ago... Among them, the mansion named "Dingdian Jin" features a chessboard-like layout and a five-bay main structure, exuding refinement in every detail — from its brick hall and stone courtyard to its bright halls and dark rooms. It boasts brick carvings, stone carvings, and wood carvings, with couplets from the Qing Dynasty still preserved on the columns. The twelve symmetrically arranged red windows in the main hall may look identical at first glance, but each features unique patterns. The “brick-and-stone interlocking” construction technique is truly breathtaking.

On October 7, 2019, the Banpu Ancient Houses were included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
