The Tomb of Zheng Yunjin in Shijing is a cultural relic protection unit of Nan’an City.

The Tomb of Zheng Yunjin in Shijing is located on Yangzi Mountain in Shijing Town. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, it is categorized as an ancient tomb.

The tomb faces northeast and is built with lime-mortared sugar water bricks. Its gravestone, altar, platform, lion statues, and stone pillars are well-preserved. The granite gravestone bears an inscription in intaglio: “The Tomb of Zheng Gong, a Middle-Grade Imperial Official from Pujü in Shijing.” Zheng Yunjin (1689–1765), styled Shangshi and also known as Pujü, was a native of Shijing, Nan’an, and a wealthy merchant in Taiwan. Because his son, Zheng Rucheng, was awarded the title of Prefectural Sima (a government official rank) with five additional honors and posthumously granted the title of Middle-Grade Imperial Official, the honor extended to three generations, and their residence was called the “Middle-Grade Mansion.”

On January 21, 2020, the People’s Government of Nan’an City announced it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units.

Protected area: An extension of 20 meters outward from all sides of the tomb.

Shijing Town: The hometown of the famous national hero Zheng Chenggong, the ancient port town of Shijing in southern Fujian is located at the southernmost tip of southeastern Fujian’s coastal region, just 6 nautical miles from Kinmen. Shijing’s Majiang is the only seaport in Nan’an City and serves as a key maritime hub for external transport along the western coast of southeastern Fujian. To the east, it borders Dongshi in Jinjiang across Majiang; to the south, it faces Kinmen across Wujian River; to the west, it connects to Guishan Mountain and neighbors Xiangdong in Xiang’an District, Xiamen; and to the north, it borders Shuitou. The town covers a land area of 83 square kilometers and a sea area of 50 square kilometers. It has a population of over 72,500, including more than 30,000 migrants, and over 60,000 overseas Chinese, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
