The Ancestral Tomb of the Xu Clan in Shijing is a cultural relic protection unit of Nan’an City.

The Ancestral Tomb of the Xu Clan in Shijing is located in Shijing Community, Shijing Town. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, it falls under the category of ancient tombs.

It consists of the “Joint Burial Site of the Fifth Generation of the Founding Ancestor of the Shijing Xu Clan” and the “Tomb of Xu Gong, the Sixth Envoy by the Stream.” These are the burial sites for the first to tenth generations of the founding ancestors of the Shijing Xu Clan, covering a total area of approximately 970 square meters. The tombs all face southeast to northwest, and the tombstones are 114 cm high, 92.5 cm wide, and 14 cm thick. One stone is inscribed in intaglio with “Joint Burial Site of the Fifth Generation of the Founding Ancestor of the Shijing Xu Clan”; the other is inscribed in intaglio with “Tomb of Xu Gong, the Sixth Envoy by the Stream,” and is accompanied by a tomb pavilion that is 100 cm high and 300 cm wide.

On January 21, 2020, the People’s Government of Nan’an City announced it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units.

To the east, it neighbors Dongshi in Jinjiang across Majiang; to the south, it faces Kinmen across Wujian River; to the west, it connects to Guishan Mountain and borders Xiangdong in Xiang’an District, Xiamen; to the north, it borders Shuitou. The town covers a land area of 83 square kilometers and a sea area of 50 square kilometers. It has a population of over 72,500, including more than 30,000 migrants, and over 60,000 overseas Chinese, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
