Tomb of Fu Yingjia

The Tomb of Fu Yingjia is a cultural relic protection unit of Nan’an City.

The Tomb of Fu Yingjia is located in Jinshan Village, Xiamei Town, dating back to the Ming Dynasty, and is categorized as an ancient tomb.

The tomb faces south and is built with lime-sugar concrete, featuring a “wind” character-shaped layout, covering an area of over 500 square meters. The stone statues, tomb guardians, and ornamental columns in front of the tomb are all missing. Fu Yingjia (1524–1568), styled Debì and also known as Zhongshan, was a native of Jinping Hall, Xiamei, Nan’an. He served as the commanding officer of Jianning Xingdusi and was a renowned general in the resistance against Japanese pirates. He, along with Yu Dayou and Qi Jiguang, was famously referred to as “Yu the Dragon, Qi the Tiger, and Fu the Flood Dragon.”

On January 21, 2020, the People’s Government of Nan’an City announced it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units.

Protected area: Centered around the tomb stele, extending 6 meters east and west, 8 meters south, and 11 meters north.

Jinshan Village: Jinshan Village is under the jurisdiction of Xiamei Town, Nan’an City, Quanzhou, situated beside the scenic Golden Rooster Mountain. To the east, it neighbors Jinping Community, Licheng District, Quanzhou, about 7 kilometers from downtown Quanzhou. To the west, it borders Yutian Village; to the south, it neighbors Xishan Village and Sijia Village, about 3 kilometers from Xiamei Town center; and to the north, it lies against the Jinjiang River, the lifeblood of Quanzhou, opposite the famous scenic spot “Jiuri Mountain.” In 1965, the construction of the Jinji Barrier Dam connected the northern and southern banks of the Jinjiang River, making it a vital north-south transportation route.
