Memorial Shrine of Li Zhi

The Memorial Shrine of Li Zhi is a cultural relic protection unit of Nan’an City.

The Memorial Shrine of Li Zhi is located at the border between Xiangtang Village and Xiping Village in Rongqiao Area, Liucheng Subdistrict. Dating from the modern era, it is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

Originally built during the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, it enshrines Li Zhi and other esteemed ancestors. The ancestral hall faces west and has a two-courtyard, three-bay layout with a flush gable roof and swallowtail ridges. It covers a construction area of 580 square meters and occupies a site area of approximately 3,600 square meters.

On January 21, 2020, the People’s Government of Nan’an City proclaimed it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units.

Protected area: 5 meters eastward beyond the rear eaves wall of the building, 5 meters southward beyond the southern wall of the building, to the cement road edge outside the courtyard of the Li Family Ancestral Hall to the west, and 5 meters northward beyond the northern wall of the building.
