The Xinghua Prefecture Temple of the City God is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Xinghua Prefecture Temple of the City God is located on Miaoqian Road, Meifeng Neighborhood Committee, Zhenhai Subdistrict Office, Licheng District. In the third year of the Hongwu reign during the Ming Dynasty (1370), Gai Tianlin, the prefect of Xinghua, relocated the original military City God Temple from the northwest corner of the old city to this location. The temple underwent maintenance and expansion by local government and county officials in the fifth year of the Xuande reign (1430), the second year of the Hongzhi reign (1489), the thirty-eighth year of the Jiajing reign (1559), the thirty-fourth year of the Wanli reign (1606), the fourth year of the Chongzhen reign (1631), the thirtieth year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1691), and during the Guangxu era (1875–1908). It still retains its Ming Dynasty architectural style. Facing south and situated to the north, the temple complex covers an area of over 1,000 square meters and consists of a screen wall, outer courtyard, inner courtyard, main gate, passageway, ceremonial gate, terrace, theater stage, central gate, fire-prevention gate, Zhenhu Tower, main hall, side halls, and bedroom hall. The main hall features five bays in width and two bays in depth, with a post-and-lintel timber frame structure and a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof. This City God Temple serves as a tangible resource for studying Ming Dynasty architectural structures and the culture of City God worship. The Xinghua Prefecture Temple of the City God was designated as a Fujian Provincial Cultural Heritage Site in 2001.
