The former site of the Putian County Committee of the CPC in Qinghou is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Putian County Committee of the CPC is located in Hefeng Natural Village, Qinghou Village, Huangshi Town, Licheng District, Putian City.

In 1935, Wang Yujie, Secretary of the Minzhong Special Committee of the CPC, along with comrades such as Su Hua, concealed themselves at the residence of Lin Yabi, a courier at the underground liaison point in Wuzhangcuo, Qingjiang, where they mobilized the masses and carried out underground revolutionary activities. In 1936, Wang Yujie and others moved to a new location, but Lin Yabi at the Wuzhangcuo liaison point continued to maintain contact with the Minzhong Special Committee and was responsible for underground communication work. In 1944, Huang Guozhang established a base at Guiyuan Ancestral Hall in Qingjiang, leading revolutionary activities across the Putian plain, coastal areas, and mountainous regions. In February 1949, the Putian County Working Committee of the CPC was renamed the Putian County Committee, and its headquarters moved from Siting in the suburbs to Guiyuan Ancestral Hall in Qingjiang, Huangshi, while the guerrilla forces were stationed at Zongxiatang in Qingjiang. Under the leadership of the county committee, the guerrillas took the initiative to strike, sabotaging enemy communication facilities, seizing weapons and ammunition, mobilizing the masses to break into grain storage and distribute food, and the revolutionary forces at the Qingjiang base grew increasingly stronger. On May 21 of the same year, Lin Ruliang, Secretary of the Putian County Committee of the CPC, convened a meeting of cadres from the plain and coastal areas at Qingjiang to assign support tasks for the front lines. Upon hearing the news, Chen Wenzhao, the Nationalist county magistrate of Putian, personally led over 300 members of the county self-defense force and local police from Hanjiang and Huangshi in a three-pronged attack on Qingjiang. Lin Ruliang was wounded during the breakout battle, and committee member Zhang Teng (Yang Wenxi) and guerrilla fighter You Feiting sacrificed their lives heroically. Civilians Zhou Yalei were killed, extensive civilian property was looted and destroyed, many locals were arrested and tortured, and the Qingjiang revolutionary base suffered tremendous losses. Upon hearing the news, Zhang Kun and Lin Huanzhang led their teams from Beiyang and the coastal area respectively to Qingjiang to provide relief. After the “Qingjiang Incident,” the county committee headquarters moved to the mountainous area of Aobing to continue operations, while revolutionaries in Qingjiang such as Zhou Wenquan and Lin Wenyu persisted in underground struggle until liberation.

The former site of the Putian County Committee of the CPC at Guiyuan Ancestral Hall is the ancestral temple of the Zhou family. It is a single-story structure made of earth and wood, facing east and situated to the west. It was destroyed in a major fire, leaving only two stone statues at the entrance gate. The side rooms flanking the gate passage are now covered by trees and weeds. The existing structures include the main hall and left and right wing rooms, with the roof of the southern wing room having collapsed and the walls partially missing. The site covers an area of approximately 200 square meters. The former site of the Putian County Guerrilla Detachment is at Zongxiatang, a single-story earth-and-wood structure consisting of two courtyards, facing south and situated to the north. Upon entering the gate is a courtyard, behind which lies the main hall flanked by corridors. Another courtyard lies behind the main hall, with a yard and side rooms to the right and a kitchen to the left. Behind the courtyard is the rear hall, which has one wing room on each side. The site covers an area of 600 square meters. The Qingjiang Revolutionary Memorial Pavilion is located between Yangcheng Port and the Beijitan Arctic Temple in Yangchenggang, Qinghou Village. It was built in August 2002 by local residents of the former revolutionary base in Qinghou.

Huangshi Town: Huangshi Town is located in the lower reaches of the Mulan River and serves as a transportation hub for Chengxiang District, Hanjiang, and Xiuyu.
