Peng Peng (May 7, 1635 – 1704), courtesy names Fensi and Guyu, art name Jiufeng, was a native of Xiaohengtang, Putian (now Qiantang Village, Qijing Town, Huangshi), and was historically known as “Peng the Upright” for his clean and honest governance.

During the Revolt of the Three Feudatories, Wu Sangui invited him to serve, but he refused. After the revolt was suppressed, in the 23rd year of the Kangxi reign (1684), he was appointed by the imperial court as the magistrate of Sanhe County in Zhili. In the 39th year of Kangxi’s reign (1700), due to his outstanding performance, he was transferred to serve as the Governor-General of Guangdong.
