Carp Stream is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Guide Located in Puyuan Village, Zhouning County, about 5 kilometers from the county town. Introduction Carp Stream quietly flows through Puyuan Village. In this stream, which is over 500 meters long and only a few meters wide, thousands of carp swim leisurely. According to local historical records, ancestors established rules to raise carp in the stream and also set strict taboos against catching or harming them. The villagers strictly adhered to these rules, passing them down through generations, which led to the creation of this beautiful Carp Stream today. The carp here are very friendly toward people — they actually swim closer and wag their tails when they hear voices or see people. If you throw food into the stream, the carp will leap and compete for it. If you gently touch them, they will calmly allow you to pet them. Aside from the Carp Stream in Puyuan Village, there is another one in Hexi Village, Chunchi Township. However, the carp in Hexi differ from those in Puyuan. While Puyuan’s carp are sociable, Hexi’s carp rarely swim together in groups. But if you make a noise by tapping something near the stream, the Hexi carp will quickly gather from all directions. The quicker and louder the tapping, the faster they assemble, creating a unique spectacle. That’s why people also call them “listening carp.” Ticket / Opening Hours 60 yuan
