Qingshan Lake

Qingshan Lake, covering an area of 7.8 square kilometers, is the highest alpine lake in East China. The lakeside features scenic spots such as the thousand-year-old Lengfeng Temple; Guanshan Nature Reserve, spanning 5 square kilometers, centers around the Jinzhuang Gualiang Temple; Lengfeng Temple, within a 3-square-kilometer protected area, is located at the foot of Lingshan Mountain between Hexi and Taokeng villages in Chunchi Town. Both Hexi and Taokeng, ancient villages, boast covered bridges and traditional dwellings; Fangguang Temple, situated 2 kilometers behind Shouzhang Village in Makeng Township, was founded in 1268 (the fifth year of the Zhiyuan era during the Yuan Dynasty) by Master Pinglu. It was later expanded during the Ming Dynasty’s Wanli era and underwent two restorations in the Qing Dynasty’s Yongzheng and Jiaqing eras. The temple features exquisitely carved beams and painted rafters, showcasing architectural styles of the Yuan Dynasty.
