Zhouning Bat Cave

Zhouning Bat Cave is located in the southwest of Limei Township, Zhouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province. It is a pristine, pollution-free scenic spot discovered in recent years, named for the countless bats that inhabit the cave. Here, mountains cradle water, water rests atop rocks, rocks conceal caverns, and caverns reveal water again. Bats dwell in the cave walls, while tiny fish swim beneath the surface. The caverns are filled with grotesque rock formations, and outside the caves, peculiar branches abound. Yet what makes this place truly remarkable is that this is not just an ordinary mountain-and-water journey... A little over an hour’s drive from the county town brings you to the entrance of the Bat Cave scenic area. We strolled along the winding path by the stream, with lush green mountains rising and falling on both sides. The landscape is full of wonders—giant rocks of various shapes jut out abruptly.

Zhouning Bat Cave is located in Limei Township, southwest of Zhouning County town, approximately 35 kilometers from the county center. It can be reached by traveling from Zhouning toward Lidun.
