Location: Puyuan Village, Puyuan Town, Zhouning County

Originally built in the second year of the Jiading era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1208), rebuilt in the 18th year of the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty (1387), and renovated in the 10th year of the Daoguang era (1830) and the 2nd year of the Guangxu era (1876) of the Qing Dynasty. The structure features a floor plan that is narrow at the front and wide at the back, resembling a boat shape, and is a traditional three-courtyard ancestral hall building. It consists of a front porch, stage, secondary hall, main hall, and others, covering a construction area of 1,830.2 square meters. Outside the main gate, there are four pairs of flagpole stones erected in the ninth year of the Xianfeng era (1859) of the Qing Dynasty. Inside the hall, there are seven clay sculptures, wooden carved ancestral tablets, and plaques inscribed by notable figures.

In 2009, the Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall in Puyuan was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Puyuan Village: Located in the central part of Zhouning County, approximately 5 kilometers from the county seat, Puyuan Village is the site of the town government. The main village sits at an elevation of 905 meters, with a total land area of 6.5 square kilometers. The Xiao (Guzhen)–Pu (cheng) Highway runs through the southern part of the village, serving as a key transportation route between eastern and northern Fujian. It is the political, economic, and cultural center of the entire town. The village is also home to the unique and charming Carp Stream, where people and fish coexist in harmony—a scenic attraction known both at home and abroad.

Puyuan, commonly known as Fudou, was under the jurisdiction of Dongyangli in Qingtian Township, Ningde County during the Song Dynasty.
