The Swan Cave Cluster is located 28 kilometers east of Ninghua County.

The Swan Cave Cluster Scenic Area is famed for its spectacular karst landscape, featuring six uniquely styled caves: Swan Cave, Divine Wind Cave, Stone Screen Cave, Crystal Cave, and Mountain Stream One-Line Sky. It is the largest, most numerous, and densely distributed cave cluster in Fujian Province, and has been recognized as a National Geopark and a Provincial Key Scenic Spot. It earned its name because the mountain resembles a swan, and the stalactites inside the caves are as white as a swan. The main Swan Cave extends five Chinese miles (approximately 2.5 km) and is divided into upper, middle, and lower levels, encompassing seven main halls and 49 major scenic spots, along with countless smaller chambers and views. Inside the cave, there are abundant stalactites and stalagmites, including a majestic 40-meter-high stone waterfall cascading down with overwhelming force, delicate stone corals that look as if finely carved, steep peaks with stone pines reaching skyward, and the calm Swan Lake reflecting like a jade forest… The experience is truly captivating. Among the cave cluster, the underground river and stone forest formations are particularly unique in China.

Divine Wind Cave, also known as Divine Wind Dragon Palace, is an underground river cave landscape. The cave’s entrance emits gusts of cool wind, which is how it got its name. The cave stretches five Chinese miles in depth and includes three main chambers, an underground lake, and an underground river. The three grand chambers within are majestic and imposing, featuring karst formations such as “Golden Warrior Guarding the Gate,” “Dragon Patrol in the Sky,” “Silver Bell Subduing the Tiger,” and “Ji Gong Fulfilling a Dream,” all exuding distinctive charm. The underground lake inside is as smooth as a mirror, and stepping onto the lotus-shaped stone in the lake reveals clear karst reflections, creating a scenic highlight on its own. The most distinctive activity in the cave is taking a boat ride through thousands of square meters of underground river waters, where the water reflects karst formations and dense stalactites hang from the cave ceiling, glistening with water droplets—offering a surreal experience akin to being in an underwater dragon palace, making it a highlight of the scenic area.
