Location: Chentang Village, Shipi Town, Ninghua County

Introduction: The site is the ancestral home of the Zhang family, built in the late Qing Dynasty. It faces south and covers an area of about 850 square meters, with a rectangular layout. It consists of a gatehouse, lower hall, courtyard, main hall, rear hall, side rain shelters, and wing rooms. In 1933, the Fourth Red Army Hospital, originally stationed in Ruijin, Jiangxi, moved here with the army. More than 20 red army slogans and 13 cartoons are preserved on the site.

Protected Area: An area extending 20 meters outward from the building.

In 2009, the Former Site of the Fourth Red Army Hospital in Chentang was designated as part of the seventh batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
