The Former Site Complex of the 7th Independent Division of the Red Army in Shipi is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province and a classic red tourism destination.

The Former Site Complex of the 7th Independent Division of the Red Army in Shipi is located in Shipi Village, Shipi Town, Ninghua County, dating back to 1932.

Introduction: It consists of the Zhang Family Ancestral Hall (Lower Ancestral Hall), the Three Saints Temple, Weifan Bridge, and Yuping Derun Pavilion. In 1929, a Party cell was established in Shipi Village, where villagers joined the peasant association, launched uprisings, formed a local government, joined the Red Army, supported the front lines, fought landlords, and redistributed land, actively engaging in the revolution. In August 1932, the 7th Independent Division of the Red Army was established, and the following year, a field hospital for the division was set up in the Zhang Family Ancestral Hall in Shipi Village, receiving strong support from local villagers.

Protected Area: Zhang Family Ancestral Hall (Lower Ancestral Hall): East to a pond 32 meters away, south to 10 meters beyond the drip line of the gable wall, west to 10 meters beyond the drip line of the enclosing wall, north to 10 meters beyond the drip line of the auxiliary building. Three Saints Temple: Southeast to a pond 32 meters away, southwest to 10 meters beyond the low enclosing wall of the Zhang Family Ancestral Hall (Lower Ancestral Hall), northwest to 10 meters beyond the drip line of the rear house, northeast to 10 meters beyond the foundation of the brick-concrete building. Weifan Bridge and Yuping Derun Pavilion: 20 meters outward from the drip line of the structures.

In 2018, the Former Site Complex of the 7th Independent Division of the Red Army in Shipi was designated as a ninth-batch provincial-level cultural heritage site by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Shipi Village: Located in the western part of Shipi Town, Ninghua County, at the border between Fujian and Jiangxi provinces, Shipi Village is 20 kilometers from the county seat and 4 kilometers from the town. Known as Yuping in the early Tang Dynasty, renamed Shibi in the mid-Tang Dynasty, and later pronounced as Shipi, it is an important region in the formation of the Hakka people and is revered as the "Cradle of the Hakka" and the "Hakka Ancestral Land." October each year is observed as the Hakka Ancestral Worship Month at Shibi. The village is also a revolutionary base area, the birthplace of the Cuibi No. 1 flue-cured tobacco variety, a pilot town for small-town construction by the provincial government, and a contact point for the "Hundred Village Demonstration" project of the provincial rural revitalization initiative.
