Xiayi Yigong Temple

Xiayi Yigong Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Xiayi Yigong Temple is located in Xiayi Village, Helong Township, Ninghua County, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Also known as Shuinan Ancient Temple, it was built in the 23rd year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1818). The temple faces east and is backed by the west, consisting of a gate tower, lower hall, main hall, and side halls, covering a construction area of 342 square meters. The main hall is three bays wide and six bays deep, featuring a post-and-lintel and pier-and-lintel beam framework, with a flush gable roof. There are nine inscribed stelae from various renovation periods as associated cultural relics.

In 2013, Xiayi Yigong Temple was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: To the east up to the small stream (including the stone arch bridge), to the west up to the mountaintop behind the temple, to the south up to the mountain path 20 meters away, and to the north up to the village road and forest 50 meters away.

Xiayi Village: Located in the southern part of Helong Township, Xiayi Village is traversed by Provincial Highway 205 and is 20 kilometers from the Yongning Expressway interchange. The village comprises 10 villager groups, 3 natural villages, 272 households, 1,180 residents, 33 Party members, and 25 villager representatives. It has 1,510 mu of arable land and 5,606 mu of forestland. In 2012, the village generated 120,000 yuan in collective income, with per capita rural income at 6,725 yuan. Its main industries include flue-cured tobacco and Helong Tribute Rice, supplemented by greenhouse vegetables and rice-field fish. The village enjoys a sound ecological environment and is recognized as a provincial-level ecological village.
