The Site of the Tangdi River Battle and the Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is a classic red tourism destination.

The Site of the Tangdi River Battle and the Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is located on Aozishan Hill in Hexiaduan, Hexia Village, Shuixi Township, Ninghua County.

In October 1934, the Central Soviet Area failed to break the Kuomintang's fifth "encirclement and suppression" campaign, forcing the main forces of the Central Red Army to undertake a strategic relocation. By December 1934, the Ninghua, Quanshang, and Pengpai Soviet Areas had successively fallen, and the Fujian–Jiangxi Soviet Region shifted to guerrilla warfare. On January 31, 1935, over 1,000 members of the Fujian–Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Fujian–Jiangxi Provincial Soviet Government, and the Fujian–Jiangxi Military District were originally planning to move from Guihua Fengxi to Anyuan. However, while passing through Hexiaduan of Tangdi River in Shuixi, they were ambushed and encircled by the 52nd Division of the Kuomintang army. Although the Red Army troops managed to break through with great sacrifice, they suffered over a hundred casualties. Additionally, around sixty to seventy people, including Zhang Hefeng, the Secretary of the Ninghua County Committee of the Communist Party of China, were captured and subsequently executed by the enemy.

To commemorate the revolutionary martyrs, inherit their history, and promote revolutionary traditions, the Tangdi Brigade constructed the Tangdi Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument in October 1958, located 260 meters southwest of the original battle site at Hexiaduan of Tangdi River. The establishment of the monument has become an important site for local residents to pay tribute to the revolutionary heroes and receive patriotic education.

The Tangdi Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument faces southwest and is built with a brick-concrete structure, featuring a hollow interior. It stands 2.8 meters tall, with a base that has bottom edges measuring 2.6 meters, lower base edges of 1.25 meters, and upper top edges of 0.75 meters, covering a ground area of 7 square meters. The base is square-shaped with three tiers of steps, and the body of the monument is trapezoidal, wider at the bottom and narrower at the top. Originally, the four sides of the monument were painted in red with the inscriptions "Eternal Glory to the Revolutionary Martyrs" and "Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument." Due to natural erosion and years of neglect, parts of the exterior cement have peeled off, the inscriptions have become unclear, the monument is overgrown with vines, and the surrounding area is covered with weeds. Overall, the structure is preserved in fair condition.
