Xiuzhu Village

Xiuzhu Village is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Xiuzhu Village is located in the northern part of Jun Kou Town, Jianning County, approximately 20 kilometers from the county seat and 5 kilometers from the town center. Provincial Highway Xiuli runs through the entire village, and an interchange of the “Chongqing–Mekong Expressway” will also be situated here, giving the village extremely favorable transportation and locational advantages. Xiuzhu Village is a revolutionary base village where a Soviet government was established in late 1932. The village has 21,000 mu of national-level ecological forest and numerous natural landscapes, represented by the Xiuzhu Lotus Garden, a national-level agricultural tourism demonstration site. The Ningxi Stream flows through the area, highlighting the idyllic pastoral scenery.

Walking through the village, you’ll see lotus flowers blooming vibrantly along both sides of the road, with thousands of acres of lotus ponds stretching as far as the eye can see. Therefore, the sightseeing experience in the scenic area is themed around the “lotus,” featuring the Xiuzhu Lotus Sea Leisure Belt, Xiuzhu Countryside Farming Experience Zone, Poetic Lotus Field Contemplation Area, Jian Lotus Culture Boutique Exhibition Area, Ningxi Pastoral Waterfront Leisure Belt, Lotus Pond Moonlight Themed Resort Area, and Waterfront Comprehensive Service & Leisure Zone. It’s truly a paradise for lotus lovers.

The houses in the scenic area are uniformly painted white, and the architectural style—featuring plain walls, blue tiles, and grand roof ridges—gives off a serene and comforting vibe. In addition to various leisure and sightseeing experience zones, the scenic area also includes one museum (China Jian Lotus Culture Museum), one garden (Lotus Variety Garden), one sea (Xiuzhu Lotus Sea), and three pathways (Flower Sea Promenade, Serpentine Plank Walkway, and Boat Cruise Waterway).
