The Jianning County Central Soviet Area Anti-“Encirclement and Suppression” Memorial Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

The Central Soviet Area Anti-“Encirclement and Suppression” Memorial Park is located at No. 49 Xikou Street, Xikou Town, Jianning County, covering an area of approximately 40,000 square meters. It was formerly known as the Jianning County Revolutionary Memorial Hall, established in September 1959. In 2007, the Jianning County Party Committee and County Government invested in expanding the Jianning County Revolutionary Memorial Hall, adding the “Central Soviet Area Anti-‘Encirclement and Suppression’ Large Group Sculpture”, constructing a new exhibition hall, and renaming it the “Central Soviet Area Anti-‘Encirclement and Suppression’ Memorial Park”.

The park houses the former sites of the leadership organs of the First Front Red Army, including the former headquarters, General Front Committee, and General Political Department of the First Front Red Army. There are two exhibition halls, one large group sculpture, and one office building. The former sites of the First Front Red Army leadership organs were designated as part of the second batch of key cultural relics protection units by the Fujian Provincial People's Government in 1985, established as a patriotic education demonstration base by the Fujian Provincial Party Committee in 1997, designated as a Young Pioneers Eagle Training Base by the Communist Youth League Fujian Provincial Committee and the Fujian Provincial Working Committee of the Young Pioneers in 2002, selected as one of the nation’s hundred classic red tourism destinations by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and other thirteen ministries, commissions, offices, bureaus, and offices in 2005, announced as part of the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council in May 2006, and designated as a provincial defense education base in 2007.

The Central Soviet Area Anti-“Encirclement and Suppression” Large Group Sculpture is divided into five themes: Bloody Battles and Fortified City Assaults; Relentless Advance and Brave Fight Against Stubborn Enemies; Farsighted Strategy and Command Center Operations; Developing Production and Enthusiastic Support of the Front; Strategic Transfer and Farewell to the Red Army.

The exhibition hall currently displays 970 pieces of revolutionary relics and photographic materials, along with 356 historical artifacts. It is divided into seven sections: A Corner of Red in Min Mountains and Gan Waters; Capturing Zhang Huizan at the Forefront; Sweeping Away Thousands of Troops Like Rolling Up a Mat; Marching a Thousand Li Back to Annihilate Stubborn Enemies; Four Times Breaking the Iron Encirclement—The Most Extraordinary; Sunset Like Blood Staining the Journey; Leadership Care and Era's Spirit.
