The Former Revolutionary Sites of Shuiwei are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province and a classic red tourism destination.

The Former Revolutionary Sites of Shuiwei are located in Shuiwei Village, Kefang Township, Jianning County, dating back to the years 1934–1935.

Overview: The site complex includes six locations: the former headquarters of the Fujian-Gan Border Guerrilla Base Forces, the former site of the Soviet Bank, the former Red Army Hospital, the former site of the Soviet Arsenal, the former site of the Jianning County Soviet Government, and the former Red Army Uniform Factory. These sites witnessed the history of guerrilla resistance against the “encirclement and suppression” campaigns and “mopping-up” operations carried out by the Second Operational Sector of the Fujian-Gan Border Area, as well as guerrilla forces from Jianning, Ninghua, and Guangchang counties of both Fujian and Jiangxi provinces after the fall of Guangchang and Jianning County during the fifth counter-encirclement campaign in the Central Soviet Area between May 1934 and March 1935. The outer walls of these sites still bear relatively clear revolutionary propaganda cartoons and slogans from the Soviet era.

In 2018, the Former Revolutionary Sites of Shuiwei were designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: Each individual building is surrounded by a buffer zone extending 20 meters outward in all directions.

Kefang Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Jianning County. Established as the Kefang People's Commune in 1961 and reorganized as a township in 1984. Located in the southeastern part of the county, approximately 54 kilometers from the county seat. It covers an area of 121 square kilometers with a population of 12,000.
