Site of the Min-Gan Military District Headquarters and Former Residence of Ye Jianying

The Site of the Min-Gan Military District Headquarters and Former Residence of Ye Jianying is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Site of the Min-Gan Military District Headquarters and Former Residence of Ye Jianying is located at No. 4, Nanjie Lane, Minzhu Street, Fuxing Community, Suixi Town, Jianning County, on the site of the Taxation Residential Building.

In November 1933, after the organs of the Min-Gan Provincial Government moved from Chushangxikou in Jianning to the county seat, the headquarters of the Min-Gan Military District was stationed at the Ding family house in Nanjie Lane. At that time, Ye Jianying, who served as both commander and political commissar of the Min-Gan Military District, also lived here until March 1934 when he left Jianning for western Fujian to take up the post of commander of the Fujian Military District. The command of the Min-Gan Military District was then taken over by Shao Shiping, chairman of the Soviet Government of the Min-Gan Province. In May 1934, after the county seat of Jianning fell, the organs of the Min-Gan Provincial Government relocated to Yijiadushang Village in the southwestern part of Jianning.

The original site, the Ding family house, was a civilian residence and was demolished during the urban redevelopment of the 1990s.
