The site of the Radio Corps of the First Front Army of the Red Army is a classic red tourism attraction.

The site of the Radio Corps of the First Front Army of the Red Army is located between the eastern side of Provincial Highway Fuxia Line (Xikou Street) on the west bridgehead of Xikou Bridge in Xikou Community, Xikou Town, Jianning County, and the western bank of the Suixi River downstream from the bridge.

On May 31, 1931, after the First Front Army of the Red Army achieved a complete victory in the second counter-"encirclement and suppression" campaign in Jianning, the headquarters of the First Front Army moved into Jianning. In June, the General Headquarters of the First Front Army established the Radio Corps of the First Front Army in Jianning, with Commander Wang Zheng and Political Commissar Wu Yunfu. The corps included a reconnaissance radio station and five radio detachments. The headquarters was stationed at Yangjia House, where the Second Radio Training Class was also held, while the army's wireless radio station was set up at Qingyun Pavilion. At 7:00 p.m. on June 2, the headquarters radio of the Radio Corps of the First Front Army of the Red Army received the first telegram sent from the General Logistics Office in Xingguo, Jiangxi. At that time, Cao Danhui and Wu Yunfu were on duty at the Red Army headquarters radio station in Jianning. This marked the first-ever wireless communication by the Red Army, ending its history without wireless communications. As a result, Jianning became the birthplace of the People’s Army’s wireless communication efforts. In July 1931, the Radio Corps of the First Front Army of the Red Army and its headquarters radio station withdrew from Jianning along with the First Front Army headquarters and returned to southern Jiangxi.

The site of the Radio Corps of the First Front Army of the Red Army includes two buildings: Qingyun Pavilion and Yangjia House. Qingyun Pavilion is located near the western end of Xikou Bridge. It is a three-story square brick-and-wood tower, serving as the former site of the Radio Corps of the First Front Army of the Red Army’s radio station. Its construction date is unknown, and it was demolished during the widening and renovation of the Fuxia Line section of Xikou Street in 1993. Yangjia House is situated not far north of Qingyun Pavilion, on the eastern side of Qingyun Old Street (now the site of Xikou Health Clinic), and is a wooden structure that served as the headquarters of the Radio Corps of the First Front Army of the Red Army. It was demolished in the 1980s during the construction of Xikou Health Clinic.
