Millennium Village

Millennium Village is situated in Zhongshan Village, Yanqian Town, Shiba Fortress. It lies 30 kilometers from downtown Sanming and 5 kilometers from the national 4A-level tourist attraction — the Geshijia Oak National Forest Park in Sanming. The village is surrounded by mountains on all sides, with expansive fields merging smoothly into the mountain foothills, green all year round. Zhongshan Village has a long history and profound cultural legacy, and it still retains a remarkably well-preserved, uniquely characteristic cluster of ancient residential buildings dating back to the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Among them, 11 structures are listed as municipal-level or higher protected cultural relics. On January 16, 2007, it was jointly awarded the title of “One of the Most Beautiful Villages in Fujian” by the Provincial Tourism Bureau and the Southeast TV channel of the Provincial Radio, Film and Television Group.
