Department store New Year dishes and festive gifts prioritize food safety, now available online

To welcome the Lunar New Year, Far Eastern Department Store’s “Spring Festival Delights” gift collection features 200–300 festive dishes and gifts perfect for family gatherings. Selected by FE Department Store General Manager Shyu Hsueh-fang, the collection puts “food safety” first, offering high-quality, distinctive items with features such as “elevated traditional cuisine,” “supporting local farmers with regional ingredients,” “experiencing VIP banquets at home,” and “health-conscious vegetarian options.”

From now until February 20, customers who present their HAPPY GO card and purchase items from the “Spring Festival Delights” collection at FE Department Store’s international gourmet counters “FE21 World Gourmet” across Taiwan will receive a NT$100 food and beverage voucher for single purchases over NT$2,200. Purchasing two or more items also qualifies for an additional 5% discount. Additionally, nearly 100 classic New Year dishes and gifts are now available online, with new members receiving a NT$200 shopping credit.

This year, in the “Elevated Traditional Cuisine” category, Regent Taipei’s “Regent Imperial Buddha Jumps Over the Wall Gift Box” continues a 25-year tradition, using premium ingredients to create a frozen-packaged version of the classic dish. The Lai Fung Group’s “Lai Fung Premium Seafood Braised Chinese Cabbage” combines umami-rich ingredients with slow-cooked Shandong cabbage, highlighting the vegetable’s natural sweetness alongside a rich filling.

For the “Supporting Local Farmers with Regional Ingredients” section, FE Department Store’s exclusive Shangri-La Tainan Far Eastern Plaza’s “Shangri-La Seven-Star Tower Gift Box” features seven stars symbolizing luck and prosperity, bringing peace and smooth fortune. It uses locally sourced ingredients such as almonds, peanuts, walnuts, cashews, hazelnuts, and macadamia nuts, with each nut tower weighing about 35 grams—suitable for lacto-ovo vegetarians. Taipei Mandarin Oriental Hotel collaborates with local Hualien farmers on wildflower honey, crafting the “Mandarin Cake Shop Jam Gift Box” with Taiwanese red-heart guava, seasonal passion fruit, and strawberries, as well as the “Mandarin Pineapple Cake” made with sour-savory Taiwan Tainan Dajia Mountain native pineapples and the sweet, delicate Golden Diamond No. 17 pineapple.

In the “Experience VIP Banquets at Home” category, there’s the Fortnum & Mason Queen Tea Classic Gift Box, featuring six blends: breakfast tea, royal tea, Earl Grey, Queen Anne, afternoon tea, and smoked Earl Grey. Also featured is FuWan Chocolate’s “Orange Heart Artisan Double Gift Box,” crafted from cacao beans from Fuwan Estate in Donggang, Pingtung’s Dapeng Bay. The chocolate won 5 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze awards at the International Chocolate Awards Asia-Pacific, using contracted Taiwanese and international premium cacao beans along with top-tier Taiwanese agricultural and seafood products to create globally unique flavors recognized by the International Chocolate Awards.
