Meilie Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument
The Meilie District Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument was built in 1977. The monument stands 18 meters tall and is made of bluish-white granite. On the front of the monument are engraved 15 gilded Chinese characters reading “Eternal Glory to the Revolutionary Martyrs.” In front of the base is a commemorative inscription, and there are two upper platforms: the upper one is 20 meters long and 15 meters wide, the lower one is 40 meters long and 30 meters wide. The platform is connected directly to 100 stone steps, forming a path for visitors to ascend for tribute.
