Longquan Mountain Scenic Area
The Longquan Mountain Scenic Area is famous for its Longquan Temple. Located in the western suburbs of Sanming City, it is just 1.5 kilometers from the city center. Longquan Temple has a long history, dating back to the Qing Dynasty. The Longquan Mountain Scenic Area boasts fresh air, undulating green hills, murmuring streams, and the fragrance of fruits—offering rich natural scenery. Towering ancient trees surround Longquan Temple, creating a serene environment with secluded valleys, winding paths, cascading waterfalls, and dragon-like pools. Visitors are captivated by the breathtaking views and find it hard to tear themselves away. Stepping into this place feels like entering a fairyland, where the sounds of morning bells and evening drums, along with misty clouds and ethereal beauty, create a mystical atmosphere. In 1999, the "Longquan Mist and Rosy Clouds" was honored as one of the Eight Great Scenic Spots of Sanming.
