Moon Bay Hakka Cultural Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Moon Bay · Sanming Hakka Cultural Park is located in Binhe Village, Xinkou Town, Sanyuan District, just 8 kilometers from downtown Sanming, with a planned area of nearly 5,000 acres. Nestled against mountains and beside water, Moon Bay boasts beautiful scenery and is hailed as “the most exquisite landscape ink painting in Sanming’s riverside tourism gallery.” As a national AAA-level tourist attraction and an important exhibition project of the 25th World Hakka Congress, it is dedicated to creating a comprehensive cultural tourism destination themed around Hakka folk culture and eco-wellness culture. The park integrates cultural sightseeing, leisure entertainment, dining and accommodation, as well as conference and business services.

1) Hakka Guild Hall The moment you step through the gate, a rich Hakka atmosphere greets you. The simplicity of stone and the rhythm of lines capture the essence and spirit of Hakka culture. Listen to the delicate sound of moonlight falling onto the water, and lose yourself in the undulating charm of the waterside hills and the azure courtyard bathed in blue skies.

2) “Wang Mansion Town” Folk Village The village displays thousands of art exhibits and collectibles, featuring timeless rural folklore, vibrant red culture symbolized by fluttering flags, and the passionate era of the educated youth. Carefully arranged by category in their respective exhibition areas, these items take you down the corridors of history, offering a retrospective journey through the passage of time. History is just history, but art and the memories left by later generations grow ever more precious as time goes by.

3) Hakka Culture Performance Hall The Hakka Culture Performance Hall is the song, dance, and variety entertainment center of Moon Bay, with a capacity of over a thousand spectators. Here, daily performances showcase the most dazzling ethnic flair, heartfelt Hakka songs and dances, and evening bonfire parties that invite visitors to sing and dance to their heart’s content, fully enjoying relaxation and delight.

5) Celebrity Garden The Four Sages of Min School — Li Dong, Zhu Xi, Yang Shi, and Luo Congyan — are household names in Hakka cultural history. Luo Congyan was a key figure in the development of Min School, bridging Cheng Hao, Cheng Yi, and Yang Shi on one end, and passing the torch to Li Dong and Zhu Xi on the other. He is considered one of the founders of Min School. Li Dong held Zhu Xi in high esteem and passed on to him the comprehensive “Luoyang Learning.” From then on, Zhu Xi not only inherited the “Luoyang Learning” of the Two Chengs but also integrated the thoughts of various great masters of the Northern Song Dynasty, becoming an important figure in Confucianism after Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi. Moon Bay’s Celebrity Garden is designed around garden landscapes, integrating plant science education and historical stories of classic Min School figures, allowing visitors to learn through fun and enjoy cultural enrichment while sightseeing.

Xinkou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Sanyuan District, Sanming City. Established as Xinkou Commune in 1959, became a subdistrict in 1984, and was upgraded to a town in 1987. Located in the southern part of the city, it is 12.5 kilometers from downtown. Covering an area of 223.4 square kilometers with a population of 16,000, it is traversed by the Yingxia Railway, National Highway 205, and the Shaxi River.
