Long’an Qiyi Mansion

Long’an Qiyi Mansion is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Long’an Qiyi Mansion is located in Long’an Village, Xinkou Town, Sanyuan District, Sanming City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Introduction: Also known as Ningshou Hall, it was built during the Qianlong era (1736–1795) of the Qing Dynasty. Facing east and situated west, it consists of front wing rooms, a gate tower, the front hall, side wing rooms, the main hall, a north-side auxiliary building, accessory rooms, and shops, totaling over forty rooms of varying sizes, with a construction area of more than 2,000 square meters. The main hall features a five-bay width, a seven-pillar depth, a post-and-lintel beam frame, and a flush-gable roof. The Qiyi Mansion is well-preserved, large in scale, flexibly laid out, exquisitely carved, and represents a fine example of mid-to-early Qing Dynasty architecture in central Fujian.

In 2013, Long’an Qiyi Mansion was announced by the People’s Government of Fujian Province as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites.

Protected area: 20 meters extending outward from the perimeter of the mansion.

Xinkou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Sanyuan District, Sanming City. Established as Xinkou Commune in 1959, became a subdistrict in 1984, and was re-designated as a town in 1987. Located in the southern part of the city, it is 12.5 kilometers from downtown. It covers an area of 223.4 square kilometers with a population of 16,000. The Yingxia Railway, National Highway 205, and the Shaxi River run through the town. It governs 14 village committees including Xinkou, Shayang, Huangsha, Cao Yuan, Louyuan, Gaoshan, Xijie, Liucheng, Houxi, Qingxi, Longquan, Pengkeng, Luyang, and Zhongyangxi, as well as the Shan Kou residential committee.
