Former Site of the Work Team of the 13th Division of the Fourth Red Army

The Former Site of the Work Team of the 13th Division of the Fourth Red Army is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Yong’antang (Former Site of the Work Team of the 13th Division of the Fourth Red Army) is located in Baiyekeng Village, Yanqian Town, Sanyuan District.

Between June and July 1931, in accordance with the spirit of three directive letters issued by Mao Zedong in Jianning, the Fourth Red Army designated Guide (now Shanghang) as its operational area and carried out extensive activities across northwest Fujian, including troop deployment, grain and fund procurement, and establishment of political power. The 13th Division of the Fourth Red Army entered areas southwest of Mingxi such as Baiyekeng, Hufang, and Yanqian to lead struggles against rent and oppression. In early July, over 100 members of the Work Team of the 13th Division set up base at Yong’antang in Baiyekeng, where they mobilized local villagers, organized grain and fund collection, engaged in military operations, and established Soviet political power.

Yong’antang (the Former Site of the Work Team of the 13th Division of the Fourth Red Army) faces west and consists of a front courtyard, front corridor, and main hall. It has three bays in width and four in depth, with a stone foundation and brick-paved floor. Covering an area of over 400 square meters and a built-up area of over 300 square meters, it features a suspended gable roof with a wooden and stone structure.
