Former Site of the 19th Division Headquarters of the Red Army’s Eastern Army

The former site of the 19th Division Headquarters of the Red Army’s Eastern Army is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the 19th Division Headquarters of the Red Army’s Eastern Army at Chen Family House is located at No. 36, Jikou Village, Yanqian Town, Sanyuan District.

In August 1933, the Red Army’s Eastern Army marched eastward to liberate Sha County and Jiangle. When a part of the 19th Red Army Division was stationed in Jikou Village, its division headquarters was set up at Chen Family House. Leaders of the 19th Division, including Division Commander Zhou Jianping, lived and worked here. The 19th Division carried out local propaganda, targeted local tyrants, collected grain and funds, and guided the establishment of Soviet governments in the Yanqian and Jikou areas, helping to restore, consolidate, and develop the Soviet regime in the region once again.

The Chen Family House, the former site of the 19th Division Headquarters of the Red Army’s Eastern Army, was built during the Qing Dynasty. The structure is about 8 meters wide and 15 meters deep, with a total construction area of over 200 square meters. It consists of a front courtyard, an eaves corridor, a front hall, and side rooms.
