Sunbang Guild Hall

Sunbang Guild Hall, also known as the Sunbang Trade Association, is located at No. 43 Shengli Lane, Gongchuan Town, Yong'an, and is the oldest known former site of a bamboo shoot industry guild.

The Sunbang Guild Hall was built in the third year of the Shunzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1646), covering an area of 97.15 square meters. It faces south with its back to the north and features a flush-gable roof. The entire building consists of an entrance hall, main hall, east and west corridors, and a kitchen.

The entrance hall is three bays wide and one bay deep. The side bays at the rear are connected to the east and west corridors. A fireproof wall on the eastern side bears the brick-imprinted mark "Sunbang Trade Association" to indicate property boundaries. The lintel is inscribed in intaglio with the four large characters “Sunbang Guild Hall” (笋帮公栈), and above the entrance hangs a plaque inscribed with the words “Upright and Selfless” (正直无私), erected during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty.

The main hall is three bays wide and two bays deep, with its floor paved diagonally with blue square bricks. In the center lies a 40×65 cm stone slab known as the “Fairness Stone.” In those days, bamboo shoot merchants gathered here to purchase dried shoots

In 2003, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site by the People's Government of Yong'an City.
