Firewood Raft House

Located to the south of Xiashijia Village in Yanzhong Subdistrict, by the Wen River, the Firewood Raft House was first built in the early Qing Dynasty by Liu Xijin from Jishan. Facing south with a north orientation, the residence covers an area of 5,333 square meters, comprising 158 rooms, 4 main halls, and 12 smaller halls. The main structure is arranged on both sides, lower in the front and higher at the back. It is a typical example of traditional Chinese family clustered housing. Due to the overall layout of the buildings resembling a wooden raft, it is called the "Firewood Raft House." In 2000, it was designated as part of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units by the Yong’an Municipal People’s Government.
