Temple of Prince Jiang

The Temple of Prince Jiang is a cultural tourism attraction.

Temple of Prince Jiang 　Located in Kengyuan Village, Dahu Town, Yong'an City. Constructed in the second year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1737). "Prince Jiang" was the title bestowed upon Li Yuanxiang, the twentieth son of Emperor Gaozu of Tang, Li Yuan. During the reign of Empress Wu Zetian of the Tang Dynasty, the Li imperial clan was persecuted, and descendants of Li Yuanxiang fled to Fujian. His sixth-generation descendant, Li Shanghao, eventually made his way to Huangli Village in Huainan Township, Yong'an, where he built the "Temple of Prince Jiang." Later, descendants moved to Kengyuan Village and constructed another "Temple of Prince Jiang" to honor their ancestors. Their progeny spread across various regions of the province as well as Taiwan. Today, descendants in Taiwan and Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew are all branches of this Li lineage.

Li Yuanxiang (626–680), the twentieth son of Emperor Gaozu of Tang, Li Yuan, and half-brother of Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin. His mother was Yang Pin, daughter of Yang Su, Duke of Chu from the Sui Dynasty. Initially enfeoffed as Prince of Xǔ, he was later relocated and titled Prince of Jiang.
