Yongan Geological Museum

Covering an area of 45 mu, the Yong’an National Geological Park Museum was constructed with a total investment of 21 million yuan. Construction began on May 1, 2006, and included the development of a landscape square, as well as the creation of sand table models showcasing panoramic views of the geological park, Peach Blossom Cave, and the Stone Forest area. The museum has also collected hundreds of rock and fossil specimens.

The museum includes a main hall, multimedia hall, Green Appreciation Hall, Earth Hall, Ancient Times Hall, Danxia Hall, Karst Hall, and Folk Culture Hall. The multimedia hall uses audio, light, and visual effects to showcase the park’s charm. The Green Appreciation Hall displays numerous plant and animal specimens. The Earth Hall presents the history of Earth’s evolution and features a magnetic levitation globe. The Danxia Hall illustrates the origins of the "green waters and red cliffs" landscape. The Karst Hall showcases karst landform scenery, while the Folk Culture Hall exhibits scale models of Yong’an’s top tourist attractions, folk culture, and traditional tools for production and daily life. The Tea Tasting Hall offers a space for visitors to rest. The landscape square features a group sculpture depicting the evolution of ancient life and numerous specimen stones, along with a large bas-relief and two sets of copper sculptures reflecting Yong’an’s bamboo shoot and bamboo culture. A variety of valuable native tree species, colorful flowers, lawns, and leisure boardwalks by the lake are also available.
