Longtou Village

Longtou Village is located in the southwestern part of Qingshui She Ethnic Township, within the national-level Tianbaoyan Nature Reserve. It is 36 kilometers from Yong’an City, 17 kilometers from the Qingshui She Ethnic Township government, and 16 kilometers from Shangping Peony Garden, with an average elevation of 680 meters. The village boasts beautiful mountains and rivers, a clean environment, and simple, honest folkways. It is recognized as a national eco-cultural village.

The unified residential buildings, featuring She ethnic architectural elements such as “small blue tiles, sloped roofs, and white plaster walls,” are the first impression visitors get of Longtou Village. Within the village, you can also find some designs incorporating the “dragon” element, which are quite thoughtful. Most villagers earn their livelihoods through bamboo shoot and timber businesses, operating “forest homestays,” cultivating “Anoectochilus roxburghii” (a type of orchid), and harvesting edible mushrooms—painting the picture of an ecological paradise.

The entire village is clean and simple, with hospitable locals. Strolling along the paths, you might bump into villagers returning from work and exchange greetings. Such a peaceful and contented way of life is something the busy concrete cities can never offer.
