Wanjin Cottage

Wanjin Cottage is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Wanjin Cottage is located in Yangtou Village, Huainan Township, Yong’an City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Also known as Jingyun Hall, it was built in the 6th year of the Xianfeng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1856). It faces east and is backed by west, consisting of a crescent-shaped pond, a gate tower, enclosing walls, a lower hall, side rooms, an upper hall, a fertility mound, and wing rooms. The gate tower faces north, is one bay wide and three pillars deep. The lower hall is five bays wide and four pillars deep, while the upper hall is five bays wide and nine pillars deep with a front porch. All feature a post-and-lintel timber frame and have flush gable roofs.

In 2013, Wanjin Cottage was designated as part of the eighth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: 10 meters beyond the cottage on all sides
