Kao Ting Village is located in the western suburbs of Jianyang, under the jurisdiction of Tancheng Subdistrict Office, about 3 kilometers from the city center. It was the place where Zhu Xi, a renowned Neo-Confucian scholar and educator of the Southern Song Dynasty, spent his later years writing and lecturing. Nestled against green mountains and bordered by water on three sides, the village boasts serene scenery and a simple, traditional folk culture, making it a favorite haunt for literati since ancient times. The village mainly features sightseeing, leisure, and cultural tourism, along with key industries such as the cultivation of high-quality fruits like grapes and pomelos, and freshwater fisheries.

Kao Ting is home to the natural attraction known as the "Millennium Ancient Camphor Tree Embracing the Buddha," hailed as a "unique wonder of China." This ancient tree has been listed among China’s 46 most notable ancient and famous trees by Chinese National Geography magazine.

Kao Ting Village features historical sites such as the Taibao Temple and General Temple built during the Qing Dynasty, the pontoon bridge constructed in the 1980s, as well as the Ximen Hydropower Station reservoir (with a water surface stretching 10 kilometers), Yuanshin Temple, Wolong Bay Tourist and Leisure Resort, and Youyan Mountain Scenic Area. Wolong Bay Leisure Tourism Area (a national 3A-level tourist attraction): Located in Pushi Natural Village, Kao Ting, western Jianyang, approximately 6 kilometers from the city center. The area centers around wellness and vacation themes, integrating ecological fruit picking, leisure entertainment, cultural study, and sports fitness into a comprehensive leisure tourism destination.

Jianyang Kao Ting Wuyi Cultural Tourism Park: Situated in the Upper and Lower Kao Ting Natural Villages within Kao Ting Village, the park enjoys a prime location and convenient transportation, just 3 kilometers from the city center. It is a planned national 4A-level scenic project meticulously developed by the Jianyang District Committee and District Government, with intended investment. The area is designed to include the Kao Ting Academy, the Great Song Culture Expo Park, a five-star hotel, outdoor adventure activities, water sports, and a water town fishing village. Once completed, it will serve as an ideal destination for visitors to sightsee, relax, experience, and reflect.

Kao Ting is situated southwest of Jianyang City, about 4 kilometers from downtown Jianyang. The village nestles against green mountains and borders water on three sides, offering tranquil scenery and a simple, traditional folk culture, making it a favorite spot for literati since ancient times. It currently features numerous tourist attractions such as the Kao Ting Academy, ecological orchards, the Mayang Creek Pontoon Bridge, ancient temples, and especially the century-old wonder of the ancient camphor tree embracing the Buddha in Poshi Natural Village. With its beautiful natural ecological environment, it was nominated as one of "Fujian’s Most Beautiful Villages" in 2006.
