Jianyang Ecological Xiyuan Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Xiyuan Village is located 10 kilometers southwest of Jianyang City. The village still retains many well-preserved ancient residential buildings from the Qing Dynasty. Attractions such as the old street, ancient wells, and narrow lanes leave a deep impression, especially the farmhouse restaurants featuring local specialties like guoba (toasted rice crust) and wengzi guo (a type of rice cake), which are truly memorable. The village has newly built uniquely designed and aesthetically pleasing tourism facilities, including a tourist service center, windmills, a forest homestay called "Xipu," and a Farmhouse Memory Park. The creative tourism mascot — Squirrel Yuanyuan — and the distinctive pine forest landscape have taken on an even more enchanting new look.

In 2013, Xiyuan Village was designated as one of the first key villages for beautiful rural construction in Nanping.

Walking into Xiyuan Village, a small stone path stretches into the distance. Houses with white-gray wooden trim are mostly around two stories high, with a clear stream running in front of each. Lush ancient camphor and willow trees, delicate pavilions, and windmills create a scene like a fresh ink painting. Especially charming are the rows of neat white-walled, red-tiled residences lining both sides of the road.

Each household here hangs wooden couplets, all calligraphed by Jianyang’s own artists. Framed like plaques and hung as door couplets, each family has their own — this is also a unique feature of Xiyuan.

Xiyuan Village has many distinctive buildings, such as the Tanhua Pavilion, the Lv Family Ancestral Hall, and so on. But if you’re looking for the most unique one, it would be the Farmhouse Memory Park.

Here, a collection of old farming tools once used in Xiyuan are displayed. There are hand-woven straw shoes, shoemaking tools, and all kinds of vintage utensils that are truly eye-opening. Some may have been seen or used in your memory, but for many young people who grew up in the city, these items are completely unfamiliar. Playing with them is simply addictive.
