The Chen Family Residence at Shufang is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Chen Family Residence at Shufang is located in Shufang Village, Shufang Township, Jianyang City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Also known as the Nanmu Hall, it was built between 1903 and 1905, consisting of a main gate, entrance hall, courtyard, main hall, rear hall, side rooms on both sides, and more, totaling over 90 rooms with a total area of 646 square meters. Over 100 pillars, beams, windows, as well as main furniture such as tables, chairs, and beds, are all made of nanmu wood, featuring exquisite carvings and an elegant, classic style.

In 2013, the Chen Family Residence at Shufang was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: to the east up to the main road, to the south up to residential houses, to the west up to residential houses and the main road, and to the north 50 meters beyond the surrounding wall.

Shufang Village: Located at the center of the Shufang Township town area, it covers a regional area of 3.5 square kilometers, including 0.517 million mu of arable land and 2.3 million mu of mountainous land. The village currently has 910 households with a total population of 3,763 people, divided into 16 villager groups. The village’s main industries include flue-cured tobacco, rice, and edible fungi. Agricultural and other infrastructure in the village is largely well-developed. The village has achieved the “six connections” project, including hardened roads, tap water, cable TV, telephone, broadcasting, and broadband. Various aspects of new rural construction are steadily advancing.
