Jiangkou Kiln Site
The Jiangkou Kiln Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Fujian Province.
The Jiangkou Kiln Site is located in Jiangkou Village, Jiangkou Town, Jianyang District, and dates back to the Tang Dynasty.
The Jiangkou Kiln Site has been designated as a provincial-level cultural heritage protection unit.
Jiangkou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Jianyang City. In 1949, the Jiangkou District was established; it was reorganized as the Jiangkou Commune in 1958, changed to a township in 1984, and became a town in 1992. It is situated in the northern part of the city, 13 kilometers from the municipal government. The town covers an area of 195.2 square kilometers and has a population of 19,000. The Fujian-Fen Highway passes through the town. It administers 13 village committees: Jiangkou, Xian’an, Qinkou, Hengtang, Songbai, Shanwei, Dongtian, Xinjian, Huxiang, Huitan, Yangxiang, Nantai, and Shiweixia. Local township enterprises include factories (and mines) producing activated carbon, wood processing, canned goods, and fluorite.
