Zhishan Academy

Zhishan Academy is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jianyang District.

Zhishan Academy is located in Changping Village, Mashan Town, Jianyang District, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Zhishan Academy has been designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Changping Village: Located in the western part of Jianyang City, at the southern foot of the Wuyi Mountains and in the middle and upper reaches of the Maxi River, Changping Village is the largest administrative village in the city. From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Heping Li and was called Changping Street. After 1949, it became Changping Township. In 1958, it was placed under Mashan Commune as Changping Brigade. In 1961, it briefly became Changping Commune before being merged back into Mashan Commune in 1965. Since 1984, it has been known as Changping Village under Mashan Town, with the village committee headquartered in Changping. It administers nine natural villages: Changping, Lidun, Folutang, Zhengfang, Fulong, Zhutian, Qiudunlong, and Zhangdun, comprising a total of 22 villager groups.
