Sleeping Beauty of Jiangshan

The Jiangshan Scenic Area is located at the southern foot of Meihua Mountain, a national A-level nature reserve, and enjoys a reputation as "the finest scenery in Longyan is found in Jiangshan" and the "Little Wuyi Mountains." To the west lies the Sleeping Beauty Mountain, where the mountain ridges form distinct lines. From the Guanmei (Beauty Viewing) Platform, visitors can look up to see a natural “beauty,” facing the sky, lying peacefully.

The Sleeping Beauty (Thousand-Meter Barrier) was formed through weathering into a thousand-meter-high cliff face, with slopes all exceeding 80 degrees. The cliffs are steep and rugged, featuring peculiar rock formations such as the “Stone Guanyin” and “Jiang Taigong Fishing.” A suspension bridge, rock-climbing trails, and China’s longest bidirectional zip line have now been constructed on the Thousand-Meter Barrier.
