The Zijinshan Red Transport Station — Taibo Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Xinluo District and a classic red tourism site.

Zijinshan Red Transport Station — Taibo Temple

Located on Menggong Mountain in Beiyang Village, Hongfang Town, Xinluo District, it was built in 1929 and is a religious structure. The building covers an area of 896 square meters, faces east with its back to the west, and consists of a main gate, front hall, courtyard, main hall, and two side wings.

During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, in order to maintain contact and report to the Party Central Committee in Shanghai, the Fourth Red Army and the CPC Western Fujian local organizations established an underground transport line from Longyan to Shanghai starting in 1929. This temple served as one of the red transport stations. Main routes came from Guangdong’s Dabu, Shantou, Zhao’an, and Pinghe, passing through Longyan’s Youyuan, Huangkeng, and Chikeng to this temple, and then branched off to Shanghang’s Shiming, Sujiapei, Dayangba, Yongding’s Hugang, as well as Liancheng and Changting, all the way to the Red Capital Ruijin. This transport station ensured the secure and smooth operation of the secret communication line. In mid-June 1949, the Longyan County guerrilla unit was reorganized here into the 5th Independent Regiment of the Minyuegan Border Column.
