Former Site of the Huyang Peasant Association: Denglong Academy is located within the central primary school in Huyi Village, Longmen Town, Xinluo District, Longyan City, Fujian Province. Built during the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, it covers an area of 685 square meters. Originally a three-courtyard, two-wing-room single-story building, the surviving structure consists of a single hall flanked by two side rooms and two wing rooms, all in an earthen-and-timber construction. It faces south and is oriented along a north-south axis that sequentially includes: a gray-brick courtyard, the main gate, another gray-brick courtyard, and the main hall. The main hall is three bays wide, six meters deep, and five meters in total height. A plaque inscribed with “Denglong Academy” hangs from the central beam. Each of the two side wing rooms features one courtyard and four rooms, constructed with a post-and-lintel system and a single-eave hip-and-gable roof in earthen-and-timber style. In January 1927, Guo Diren established the Huyi Village Peasant Association here and led struggles against landlords for a 25% reduction in rent and interest. In 1987, the Guo Diren Memorial Hall was established on this site. It was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in 2001.
