The Former Site of the Provisional Congress of the Communist Party of China in the Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Border Region is a cultural heritage site protected by Xinluo District and a classic red tourism destination.

Former Site of the Provisional Congress of the Communist Party of China in the Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Border Region: The Wu Ancestral Hall is located about 1 kilometer northwest of Baisha Village, Baisha Town, Xinluo District, Longyan City, Fujian Province. It is the ancestral temple of the Wu clan in Baisha, built in the late Qing Dynasty. The structure faces east and is situated along a west-east axis, featuring a main gate, front hall, central courtyard, main hall, with corridors on both sides of the front hall connecting to the main hall. The main hall is 12 meters wide in span and 6 meters deep, with a post-and-lintel frame and a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, constructed from wood and earth. The entire ancestral hall covers an area of 2,000 square meters. On October 12, 1937, the Provisional Congress of the Communist Party of China in the Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Border Region was held here. The meeting heard a report delivered by Comrade Fang Fang upon his return from Yan’an, discussed the implementation of instructions, decided to dissolve the Fujian-Southwest Military-Political Committee, and established the Provisional Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in the Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Border Region. Zhang Dingcheng was elected as the provincial party secretary. This meeting had a profound impact on guiding future resistance efforts in Western Fujian, fostering cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party in Southwest Fujian and the Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi border region, and holds significant historical importance. The Wu Ancestral Hall in Baisha witnessed this pivotal historical event. In 2001, it was designated as a third batch county-level cultural heritage site by the People’s Government of Xinluo District.
