Former Residence of Chen Ming in Longquan

The Former Residence of Chen Ming in Longquan is a cultural relic protection unit of Xinluo District.

The Former Residence of Chen Ming in Longquan, also known as Guanbao Cuo, is located in Longquan Village, Dongxiao Town, Xinluo District, Longyan City, Fujian Province. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it faces west and features a two-courtyard, four-winged earthen-structured ancestral hall-style building. The entire residence covers an area of 2,000 square meters, consisting of upper and lower halls as well as two smaller side halls on the left and right. The right wing also includes a Guanyin Hall, with a total of 32 rooms, 10 corridors, seven large and small courtyards, and two lime yards. Behind the main courtyard is a one-meter-high semicircular stone wall, and the main gate is located on the right side facing east. The left wing of the ancestral hall, known as Jicheng Tang, was an important place where Chen Ming, the former Secretary of the Provisional Provincial Committee of Fujian Province, lived, studied, and grew up. It was announced as a fourth batch of county-level cultural relic protection unit on May 25, 2016.
